Key things to know
- Report at least 30 minutes before your examination begins, following your school’s instructions. Check transport plans with a parent or guardian the day before.
- Pack 2B pencils, a soft eraser and black or dark-blue ballpoint pens. Use pencil for shading multiple-choice answers and pen for written responses as instructed; avoid erasable ink and correction tape.
- Use a SEAB-approved scientific calculator only for Mathematics Paper 2 or Foundation Mathematics Paper 2. Check the model and battery beforehand.
- Check Standard, Foundation and Higher Mother Tongue papers carefully. Do not copy another pupil’s timetable if their subject combination differs from yours.
- Keep the marking and results dates separate from exam dates. Marking is 12–14 October; the 24–25 November result window is tentative.

When is the Primary School Leaving Examination in 2026?
Oral examinations were on 12–13 August. Listening comprehension is on 15 September. Written papers run from 24 to 30 September 2026, with no written papers listed over the intervening weekend.
When are PSLE English written papers?
English Paper 1 starts at 08:15 on Thursday 24 September and lasts 1 hour 10 minutes. Standard English Paper 2 starts at 10:30 and lasts 1 hour 50 minutes; Foundation English Paper 2 lasts 1 hour.
When are PSLE Mathematics papers?
Both Mathematics papers are on Friday 25 September. Paper 1 starts at 08:15 and Paper 2 at 10:30. Standard durations are 1 hour 10 minutes and 1 hour 20 minutes respectively.
How long are Foundation Mathematics papers?
Foundation Mathematics Paper 1 lasts 1 hour, from 08:15 on 25 September. Paper 2 lasts 45 minutes, from 10:30 that day.
When is PSLE Science?
Science is on Tuesday 29 September at 08:15. Standard Science lasts 1 hour 45 minutes, while Foundation Science lasts 1 hour 15 minutes.
When are Mother Tongue written papers?
Standard Mother Tongue papers are on Monday 28 September: Paper 1 at 08:15 and Paper 2 at 10:15. Foundation Chinese, Malay and Tamil Paper 1 is at 08:15 the same day. Higher Mother Tongue papers follow on 30 September.
What time is PSLE listening comprehension?
On 15 September, Mother Tongue listening starts at 09:00. English and Foundation English listening start at 11:15. The scheduled windows differ by language and level; actual durations may vary slightly.
Does the oral exam last from 08:00 until 13:30 for each pupil?
No. That is the published oral-session window. It is not the duration of an individual pupil’s oral examination. Follow the appointment and reporting instructions supplied by your school.
Can I use a calculator in PSLE Mathematics?
A SEAB-approved scientific calculator is allowed only in Mathematics Paper 2 and Foundation Mathematics Paper 2. It is not allowed in Paper 1.
How early should I arrive?
SEAB’s readiness checklist says to report at least 30 minutes before the examination starts. Follow any earlier reporting instructions from your school.
When is the PSLE marking exercise?
The marking exercise is scheduled for Monday 12 to Wednesday 14 October 2026. These are marking dates, not additional papers for pupils.
When will PSLE 2026 results be released?
SEAB lists 24–25 November 2026 as a tentative release window. The exact day will be announced once the required processes are complete.
