Filter by keyword, season, qualification or assessment type. Open “Complete source fields” on any row to see every non-empty field imported from Excel.
Source coverage: 2026-09-07 to 2027-06-10. Dates are converted from Excel serial values to readable labels while the original source values remain preserved in the row details.
| Season | Date / window | Series | Qualification | Level | Subject & title | Code · unit · part | Session | Duration | Type | Language · week | Source details |

Rows are sorted by source season, date, subject and examination code. A task may show a release date, assessment window or submission deadline instead of a single sitting.
How to plan from the BTEC timetable
Use the published row as your anchor, then add the centre-level details that students need on the day.
1. Filter to your qualification
Choose NQF BTEC First for the quickest view of BTEC Firsts, or keep all qualifications visible if you are coordinating a mixed programme.
2. Separate exams and tasks
Exam rows usually have a single date and session. Task rows may use a pre-release date, controlled window and submission deadline.
3. Confirm centre instructions
Your exams officer or assessor confirms the room, start time, access arrangements, supervision and any permitted equipment.
- Save your filtered timetable and check the source season.
- Record code, unit, part, session and duration.
- Put every release, window and deadline in your calendar.
- Ask early about clashes, access arrangements or Welsh/English versions.
- Follow the centre’s candidate notice for reporting time.
- Recheck Pearson updates before the assessment period.
BTEC Firsts timetable FAQs
Answers to common questions about the attached Pearson timetable data and assessment planning.
What is the BTEC Firsts exam timetable?
It is a consolidated view of the exam and assessment-task rows in the attached Pearson summer and winter 2027 final timetable workbooks.
Is this timetable official?
The rows are transcribed from the two attached Pearson final timetable files. Centres should still check Pearson updates and their centre-confirmed entries before an assessment.
Which BTEC Firsts qualifications are included?
The workbooks contain NQF BTEC First entries alongside BTEC Technicals, BTEC Tech Awards, RQF BTEC Nationals and RQF BTEC Nationals (AAQ). Use the Qualification filter to show only NQF BTEC First rows.
Does the page include every row from both Excel files?
Yes. Every non-empty row on each workbook’s “All papers” sheet is included, with source season, source file, row number and the complete non-empty source fields available under each row.
What are the Summer 2027 and Winter 2027 seasons?
Summer 2027 and Winter 2027 are the two source-workbook seasons supplied for this page. A season filter lets you focus on one file at a time.
What is the difference between an Exam and a Task?
Exam rows are externally scheduled written or onscreen examinations. Task rows identify internally or externally assessed work, release windows, controlled tasks or submission deadlines.
What does “Pre-release” mean in the exam series column?
Pre-release means assessment material or a task is issued before the assessment window. Follow the release date, window and submission deadline shown in the row.
What do Window start and Window end mean?
They define the permitted assessment window for a task. Centres schedule the work within that window and follow the qualification specification for controls and supervision.
What is a Submission deadline?
It is the date by which the relevant work or evidence must be submitted. The centre may set an earlier internal deadline to allow checking and administration.
What do Unit and Part mean?
Unit identifies the BTEC unit being assessed. Part identifies a component or section of a multi-part task when the source timetable provides one.
What does Morning or Afternoon mean?
It is the session label in the Pearson timetable. Your centre confirms the exact start time, room, access arrangements and reporting instructions.
Can a centre move a BTEC exam date?
Centres should not move a scheduled external exam without following Pearson’s published policies and approval process. Always contact the exams officer for a clash or exceptional circumstance.
What should I do if two BTEC assessments clash?
Tell your exams officer as soon as you spot the clash. The centre can check Pearson procedures, supervision requirements and any permitted alternative arrangement.
Who confirms my BTEC assessment location and time?
Your school, college or training provider does. The timetable supplies the published date/session, while the centre issues the final candidate-facing instructions.
What should I bring to a BTEC exam?
Bring only items your centre permits, such as approved stationery, an ID or candidate card, and any authorised equipment. Follow the centre’s exam-day notice.
How are practical, performance or controlled tasks scheduled?
The timetable may show a release date, window and deadline rather than a single sitting. Your assessor or exams officer will publish the local schedule and required controls.
What do Access and Level of control mean?
They describe how assessment materials are distributed and the degree of control required. Read them with the qualification guidance and your centre’s instructions.
Why might a cell show a blank or a source error value?
The page preserves source values exactly, including blanks or spreadsheet error text such as #NAME?. Ask the exams officer or Pearson if a value affects your assessment planning.
Where can I verify the latest BTEC timetable?
Use Pearson’s current BTEC assessment and examinations information and ask your centre’s exams officer. This page is a planning aid based on the attached files, not a replacement for official notices.
