How to Use the Interactive Multiplication Chart:
- Click on any cell to highlight the multiplication fact.
- Use the options to customize the highlight color.
- Enable "Highlight Commutative Pairs" to see commutative properties.
- Click "Clear Highlights" to reset the chart.

- Highlighting Patterns:
- Visual emphasis on multiplication patterns helps students recognize relationships.

Instructions to Use the Interactive Multiplication Chart:
Highlighting Multiplication Facts:
- Click on any cell within the chart to highlight it.
- The multiplication equation corresponding to the cell will be displayed above the chart.
Customizing Highlight Colors:
- Use the color picker in the sidebar to select a highlight color.
- The selected color will be applied to any cells you click on.
Commutative Property:
- Check the “Highlight Commutative Pairs” option to enable commutative highlighting.
- When enabled, clicking on a cell will also highlight its commutative pair (e.g., clicking on
4 × 5
will also highlight5 × 4
).
Clearing Highlights:
- Click the “Clear Highlights” button to reset the chart and remove all highlights.

- Hover over “Need Help?” in the sidebar to view tips on using the chart.
