🧮 Conversion Formulas
Unweighted GPA Calculation:
GPAunweighted = (GPA₁ + GPA₂ + GPA₃ + GPA₄ + GPA₅ + GPA₆) / 6
Where GPAi is the converted GPA value for each IB subject grade according to the conversion table above.
Weighted GPA Calculation:
GPAweighted = Σ(GPAi + Bonusi) / 6
Where Bonusi = 1.0 for Higher Level (HL) subjects, and 0.0 for Standard Level (SL) subjects.
Total IB Diploma Score:
Total Score = (Subject₁ + Subject₂ + Subject₃ + Subject₄ + Subject₅ + Subject₆) + TOK/EE Bonus
Maximum score: 42 points from subjects (6 × 7) + 3 points from TOK/EE = 45 points total.

- No Universal Standard: Different universities use varying conversion scales. Always verify with your target institution.
- HL Weighting: Some universities add 0.3-1.0 points to HL subjects for weighted GPA. This calculator uses +1.0 as the standard.
