2026 Advanced Placement® (AP) Exam Timetable
Advanced Placement® (AP) exams for 2026 will be administered nationwide in two main testing weeks during May, with late testing available for approved circumstances. This schedule helps AP students plan and prepare effectively.
Official Exam Dates
Exams occur during two weeks:
- Week 1: May 4 – May 8, 2026
- Week 2: May 11 – May 15, 2026
Daily Exam Schedule
Each exam day has two start times based on local time:
- Morning exams: between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m.
- Afternoon exams: between 12 p.m. and 1 p.m.

Late Testing Window
For students unable to test during regular weeks due to illness or conflicts, late testing is available from May 18 – May 22, 2026 with alternate exam versions.
Important Deadlines
- April 30, 2026 (11:59 p.m. ET): Deadline for submitting final performance tasks for AP Seminar, AP Research, and AP Computer Science Principles Create performance task.
- May 8, 2026 (8 p.m. ET): Deadline for submitting final AP Art and Design portfolio components in the AP Digital Portfolio.
- March 13, 2026: Deadline for AP coordinators to submit exam order changes and new orders.
